St. John is engaged in supporting many local, national, and international ministries, including: Gideons, Helping Hands, Feed My Starving Children, and the Northlands Rescue Mission.
We have two fellowship groups that are open to all - MAD (Make A Difference) Men and Women of the Word (WOW) - that work to serve community needs and support missions. For example: The Mad Men have rallied to help people move, repair cabins at a Bible camp, and work on the Laurie Berry Christian House. WOW holds fundraisers in order to donate to a variety of missions - local and global - and to hold fellowship events. Handmade quilts are sewn by a dedicated group of quilters for giving to mission, and for presenting to the newly baptized.
The St. John Women’s Choir and another group, the Praise Singers, provide special music ministries during worship time and special events. Our children also sing during worship once a month and sing at Hatton Prairie Village (a world-class Hatton facility offering independent and assisted living apartments and services for seniors, supported by churches in the area) two to three times during the school year.
